Unfortunately one of the things I really dislike about leaving in Santa Clarita, is that I have to commute 42 miles to work, but it also makes it worth taking pictures like this early in the morning; as you will see on my postings you will notice that a lot of the pictures will be taken from the fwys, and streets; leaving in this city makes you way too dependent of you automobile.

Looking for Oil

I took this picture on my way home, there are several oil drills (this are known as Pumpjacks ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pumpjack ). I wonder if this oil stays in California or if it goes to the middle east (lol).

The Cascades of the Los Angeles Aqueduct

This are the cascades (man made), http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles_Aqueduct , that bring water into Los Angeles. This is on the edge of the City of Santa Clarita. It can be seen from the northbound I5 Fwy.

For any of you who have not been to Southern California, there is no place for a hamburger like In'N Out. They have probably the freshest hamburgers in town (for a chain). Southern California is known for the birthplace of McDonalds. Believe me, once you try In'N Out, you will keep on going back.
